
A group of young Dominicans is presently in Martinique competing in a Boxing tournament.
The Boxing Tournament for Creole Speaking Countries runs from July 2 to July 4 in Lamentin.
Boxers from Gaudeloupe, Martinique, Guyane, Haiti, St. Lucia and Dominica are participating in the event.
So far, on Thursday night, Charles Leatham of Dominica has won his first bout against his Martinique opponent.
However, Mitchel Bertrand, of Dominica who is competing for the first time in a regional competition, has lost his bout to Guadeloupe.
