The Windward Islands senior football tournament will be begin next week Wednesday 3oth April at Windsor park stadium in Roseau.

The event is scheduled to start at 5.00 pm with two matches.

In the opening match, Grenada will play St Vincent and afterwards St Lucia will meet Dominica starting at 7pm.

The tournament will continue on Friday with Grenada playing St Lucia at 5pm and St Vincent taking on Dominica at 7pm.

On Sunday, the last day of the tournament, St Vincent plays St Lucia from 5.00 pm and host Dominica meets Grenada at 7pm.

Coach of the team, Ronnie Gustave is confident that Dominica will do well. His hope is that the players can deliver the goods for Dominica.

The team did not take part last year because of the vehicular accident which claimed the lives of national coach Kirt Hector and national player Norran Jno Hope while on their way to the airport to represent Dominica at the tournament in St. Vincent.

Educate yourself first please. Out of 20 players 6 defenders were selected. How many defenders you want them to select in a 20 man squad. fyi The player that has to do the fitness test is a defender.

Good luck to the team, looking forward to see you play good football and let the cup remain in Dominica. It would be good if the public could know what team each member of the squard plays for in the national league and who are the overseas players.

Approximately forty years ago, we last had such a major event in Windward Islands Football in Dominica. The Government talks about its interest in sports and its beautiful stadium. Great opportunity to show your beautiful stadium, why isn’t the Dominica match being brought through live streaming. I am positively sure their is going to be live streaming of the 5th of May bash.

Admin: We’ve made some inquiries and found out that the tournament will be streamed live. Keep monitoring DNO for more information as soon as it becomes available.
