Dominica to compete in Windward Island’s women football tournament

dno sportsTwo overseas based players, Kira Bertrand and Kylee Bertrand, are included in a 20-member squad to represent the national senior women football team in the inaugural Windward Islands Football Association Women Tournament to be staged in St Vincent & the Grenadines from April 7 to the 12.

The Sisserou Girls will leave Dominica on Monday April 6 and is captained by Roselia Registe with Ayanna St Rose as vice captain.

The rest of the squad are Kadisha Joseph, Alijah Titre, Naihima Africa, Keanna Francis, Henrica Samuel, Christina Sobers, Michlyn Morgan, Miriam Elwin, Cora Francis, Kaysanda Alexander, Onisha Deluge, Tracian Ettienne, Nadege Victor, Akima St Jean, Muryah Esprit and Britney Stout.

The technical staff are Kenneth Esprit- head coach, Albert Titre- assistant coach, Sabrina Bully- manager, Joel Hamilton- trainer and Glenda Fagan – medics personnel.

Dominica will play it’s first match against host country St Vincent & the Grenadines at 7:00 pm on April 7.

The Sisserou Girls will take on Grenada on Thursday April 9 at 5:00 pm in their second match.

The final match will be on Saturday April 11 against St Lucia at 5.00 pm.

    The competition came and went and news concerning how it went down is yet to be seen. Maybe I’m wrong…

    I dont know the make up of the team because i live in the UK but as a friend of Mr Esprit, i express my satisfaction and appreciation of his effort to serving the country. I am supporting your selection but please ensure that the ladies enjoy their time on the pitch because through enjoying what they do will result in success and progress. Keep the programme alive even after the tournament. All the best ladies.
