Dominica to host second WICB public town-hall meeting

WestIndiesCricketTeamLogoThe Nature Island of Dominica will provide the breath-taking backdrop for the second in the series of public town-hall meetings – hosted by the West Indies Cricket Board – will be staged on Monday, June 1 here.

WICB President Whycliffe “Dave” Cameron and Vice President Emmanuel Nanthan will host the town-hall meeting which will take place in the conference room of the Fort Young Hotel in the Dominica capital.

The series of public town-hall meetings commenced two Fridays ago in Barbados.

“We believe the public town-hall meeting is a great way to hear what people across the Caribbean have to say about the important issues facing their game,” said the WICB President.

“It presents a great opportunity for our stakeholders to learn more about initiatives which the WICB is working on at this time.”

“We want to restore the public confidence in the WICB and we can only do this if we talk to our public – the fans, sponsors and our governments.”

The next stop for the public town-hall meetings will be Guyana on July 22 with another carded for Trinidad on July 24.
