Dominican athletes to compete in Second CARIFTA Trials

dno sportsFifteen athletes and five officials will on Saturday 28th February 2015 compete at the Second Carifta Trials of Guadeloupe, seeking, in some cases the qualifying standards and in others competition practice for the 2015 Carifta Games to be held in St. Kitts 3rd to 6th April 2015.

Team will depart Dominica at 11.45 am on Thursday 26th February for the Baie Mahault Stadium in Guadelope where the meet is to be held and return on Monday 2nd Mach 2015.

The Dominica athletics Family/D.A.A.A would like to thank all those who have contribute to make this event a success; MCCU, Lotteries Commission, A.C.Shillingford, Government of Dominica, Sports Division, Mr and Mrs. John Connon and Most of All the Parents whom have made great sacrifices to ensure their Children gets this opportunity.

We are most grateful to the Guadeloupe Athletics Federation for allowing us this opportunity to compete at their facility where the athletes can acquire times distances and heights that will be recognized by the regional and International bodies thus qualifying them for their Competitions.
