Eagles and Snipers force game four

Saturday was a night that the basketball fans of Paix Bouche will not forget.

Both teams from the village faced elimination in the LIME National Basketball Finals being down 2-0, but the boys from Paix Bouche were not ready to disappoint their fans and give up and so we have a game four in the best-of-five series.

Game 1 – Between the Raffoul Snipers and Gloria Shillingford Raptors was what we would call in basketball terms a blow out. The Snipers came roaring out of the blocks to build an early lead on the Raptors. The Snipers played like a team eager to prove the point that they are still the top team in Division 1. The final scores of the game were Snipers 84 points to Raptors 56 points; top-scoring for Snipers were Hendricks Holsborough 28 pts, Dave Alexis 21 pts and Lenin Paul 19 pts while for the Raptors Steve Hypolite 22 pts, Curtis Akiel 10 pts and Devon Barton 8 pts.

Game 2 – Between the Paix Bouche Eagles and Glam X-Men, the Eagles soared to higher heights to spoil the celebrations of the X-Men who could have been national champs with a victory. But the Eagles were not ready to give up after been blown out the night before. The Eagles were playing on full thrusters and even while the game stayed close, the X-Men could not overcome the clutch shooting by the Eagles sharp shooters Andel George and Earl Mathew who made three pointers after three pointers whenever X-Men got close. The finals score of the game was Eagles 78 points to X-Men 67 points; top-scoring for the Eagles were Andel George 24 pts, Earl Mathew 24 pts and Lynvor John 13 pts while Garth Joseph 20 pts, Davidson Toulon 16 pts and Simon Joseph 13 pts for the X-Men.

The games will continue for both divisions in the LIME National Basketball Finals on Wednesday at the Lindo Park from 7 pm.

GRANTED THAT X MEN ARE THE LEAGUE LEADERS AND THEY RIGHTFULLY SHOULD HAVE HOME COURT ADVANTAGE ,THEREFORE, THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON WHY GAME 4 CANNOT BE PLAYED IN pAIX-bOUCHE .IT IS ONLY FAIR THAT TWO GAMES HAVE ALREADY BEEN PLAYED IN LINDO PARK AND ONE PLAYED IN PAIX-BOUCHE .THE RIGHT THING TO DO MR MICKEY ,GOD GARTH AND BARON IS TO PLAY GAME 4 IN PAIX BOUCHE .wE ARE NOT ASKING FOR A FAVOUR BUT THAT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO FOR THE INTEREST OF BASKETBALL AND FAIR NESS TO EAGLES BASKETBALL .THEY WORKED HARD TO BE THERE SO BE JUST IN YOUR JUDGEMENT.A 2 2 1 GAME SERIES.TWO AT LINDO PARK ,TWO AT PAIX BOUCHE AND ONE AT LINDO PARK AGAIN IF NEEDED.

great job to the organizers of the DABA but just that i believe that it would be fair to have the Game played in Paix Bouche since the 2 previous ones were @ lindo park.
Please consider, good atmosphere. excellent playing facility and 3 of the team are from the north.
