Final results of the DAAA Junior Championship

PRESS RELEASE: It was a successful championship with several good performances, which showed that most of the qualified carifta athletes are in good shape 3 weeks prior to the Games.

Outstanding Result: The 15 years old Chelsey Linton of Wesmar breaks the 400m U-17 girls National Record – 59.1 seconds.

The Overall Winners in the 4 Categories are as follows:

> U-17 Boys:    Michael Hector (DGS): 3 Gold & 2 Silver medals

> U-17 Girls:    Chelsey Linton (WES): 3 Gold, 1 Silver & 1 Bronze medal – one National Record (400m)

> U-20 Boys:   Andre Bazil (OAC):   4 Gold medals

> U-20 Girls:   Teresa Gordon (WES):  3 Gold medals

    Great Job Chelsey, and WesMar Rangers. There are lots of athletics scholarships so just keep on the tracks and ensure that the academics are at the top as well and you will definitely be rewarded with an academic scholarship. Congratulations to Teresa as well. To coaches Smith and Godwin keep up the good work.
