I am very happy you made this comment that she is not a Dominican. When I came from Canada I was called fresh by Dominicans and all sorts of other unpleasant names.I remember a time when I sheltered the rain and I guess all the other Dominicans stayed in the rain I was told the Dominican rain will not harm me and so on.To me the culture here is very different and am not even sure its the culture. In Canada you dont even know your neighbour. Altletes or not we often stay on a down low if you know what that means. So please dont say the young lady is full of herself. She is human and has her own personality and just being professional.

Was she born in Dominica and has been naturalized a Canadian citizen, if so,according to concensus she is a foreigner and cannot claim Dominican nationality. Thanks to the UWP in their effort to paint all Dominicans holding foreign passports as aliens.Hope all you diasporans are paying attention

I am happy to see our people excel, but sometimes the way these stories are written, it comes across more as showing off rather than giving useful information to readers.

The first part of the story was good, the bio was not necessary.

@Rabbit Ears – What would be the point of the article if the Bio was not included? They needed the support their claims with facts and indeed the facts give the reader the full picture. I don’t see any “show off” in this article. The tone and facts says it all.

      Great accomplishment Fellow Dominican!!!!!!!!!!!
