On Sunday 1st, the R.C Bullets defeated the Laudat Spartans by a final score of 84-78 pts. Finally, a team has beaten the spartans. After losing their first two games, the addition of twin brothers, Jamal & Jervon Serrant really had the Spartans looking like the 1996 Chicago Bulls, unbeatable. This is their first loss in four games and are now 3-3. The brothers contributed 49 of the spartans 78 pts, but there was no help from anyone else, with only one other player in double digits. Star player Shaun Reid was not available for this game, and he definitly took the wrong night off, as Abbot & Castello, (Garth Joseph & Bernard Mills) exploited the spartans.

The bullets depended heavily on their two star players as they accounted for 67 of the 84 pts, with minimal help coming from Ronald “Bing” Charles. The bullets again, look like a force to reckon with after losing 3 straight games without bernard mills. They are now 3-4, with one game remaining, and may still qualify to make the play offs, according to how other games in the group go, over the next week.

The bullets certainly quieted all those who continued to talk about the brothers like Micheal Jordan & Kobe Bryant.

Top performers for Spartans – Jamal Serrant – 29 pts, 6 reb, 4 asts

– Jervon Serrant – 20 pts, 4 reb, 7 asts

– Kurt Rolle – 10 pts, 2 reb

Top performers for Bullets – Bernard Mills – 38 pts, 6 asts, 2 stls (16 free throws)

– Garth Joseph – 29 pts, 11 reb,

– Ronald “Bing” Charles – 11 pts, 4 reb

Next game is on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. between the Fond Canie Upsetters & Bath Estate Huskies at Trafalgar basketball court.
