LIME Basketball Season closes Saturday

The Dominica Amateur Basketball Association will officially close the 2011 Lime Basketball Season this Saturday , October 15.

The closing ceremony will take place at the Public Service conference room . At this function the Association will hand out awards to deserving teams and players, and recognize certain businesses and persons who helped in making the 2011 basketball season a success.

The following awards will be handed out, it must be noted that the criteria for the player and team awards are based on their performances during the regular season. See below
1. Regular Season Champion – Premier Division
2. Regular Season Champion – Division , Zone A & B
3. Top Scorer – Premier Division
4. Top Scorer – Division 1
5. Most Improved Team
6. Coach of the Year – Premier Division
7. Coach of the Year – Division 1

Note in respect of coach selection the coaches were restricted to the registered coaches and the coaches who participated in the coaching clinic.

The following awards will be handed out based on the results in the championship playoff’s,
1. Premier Division Champion ( Recognize National Champs)
2. Division 1 Champion (Recognize National Champs)
3. Playoff MVP Premier Division
4. Playoff MVP Division 1
5. Most Rebounds Premier Division Finals (Game 5)
6. Second Place Team Premier Division
7. Second Place Team Division 1

In addition to the above the Dominica Amateur Basketball Association will recognize and present certificates to the following,
1. Coaches who passed the Level 2 Coaching exams
2. Long Serving and regular referees
3. The Dominica National Team
4. All the sponsors of the Dominica Amateur Basketball season.
