Meeting for District Sports Festival

In preparation for the 2011 District Sports Festival, organized by the Sports Division in the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, the sports officer for the Roseau and surrounding areas will be hosting a meeting at the Fond Cole Community Centre for persons of that community.

This meeting will be an opportunity to plan and organize for the West Central Festival, which is carded for Sunday, June 28, 2011.

This meeting will be held (TODAY) on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 6:30 pm.

Everyone is invited and are asked to be on time.

    I hope they bring up the issue of a proper playing field for Fondcole. Every community in Dominica should have a proper playing field if we are serious about developing sports on the island. You never know where the talent might come from besides, it is just good for the mental and physical health of the youths and community in general. It is also a way to keep the youths out of trouble. I think the ministry responsible for sports on the island should plan properly and give the youths of the various communities on the island a proper playing field. FONDCOLE NEED A PLAYING FIELD. It has been too long.
