Petro Carib Pointe Michel has won the Dominica Football Association (DFA) Division One championship and will be promoted to the Premier League.
Pointe Michel came from a goal down in the 11th minute to beat RIC Kensbro 1-3 in the Division One final held at Windsor Park Stadium on Sunday March 13, 2016.
Shannon Stout scored for the Roseau-based Kensbro in the 11th minute after keeper Akim Jno Baptiste misjudged a ball across his goal and was left stranded as he went out to collect.
However, Bert Casimir, in combination with the midfielders made no mistake in the 27th minute when his right footer flew past Kensbro goalie, Owen Oscar, to get the equalizer for Pointe Michel.
Five minutes later, Pointe Michel took the lead through Keran Lewis and moved further ahead in the 44th minute, thanks to a Kensbro own goal.
The second half went goal-less and the match ended at 1-3 in favour of Pointe Michel.
