Portsmouth Amateur Athletics Club seeks assistance for sports event in Curacao

Members of the club

The Portsmouth Amateur Athletics Club is embarking on taking a team of seven athletes and two officials to the Trupial Auto City Athletics Invitational to be held from July 7th -11th in Curacao.

Last year when the team represented Dominica and they secured 11 gold, four silver and two bronze medals.

This year the athletes will be aiming to repeat such an outstanding performance but need the financial support of those capable in order to do so. Gratitude is extended to Fine Foods Incorporated, the faculties at Ross University, Sports Division, the Cambran Family, Zaman Garments and Bloaters Barber Shop who have all come on board to assist thus far.

The club is working alongside the Sports Division to give some of the top athletes an opportunity to sharpen their events ahead of the 2011 Windward Islands Inter-Secondary School Games to be hosted in Dominica this year.

Pledge your support today and make contact with Coach Nabi Wallace at 276 5527 or deposit your contribution into the Portsmouth Amateur Athletics Club Account at the National Bank of Dominica account number 300019954.

Thank you for supporting the development of our aspiring athletes.
