Results of weekend games in LIME National Basketball League

Saturday games at Lindo Park

Game 1  in the Kubuli/Vitamalt Division 1 between NBD Original X-Men vs. Malta India Marauderz. NBD Original X-Men had an easy time with Marauderz winning by 27 points. Final score X-Men 68 points to Marauderz 41 points, top scoring for X-Men were Omarie Williams 15 points, Mario Williams 14 points and Dwight Timothy 13 points while Kervin George 16 points and Augustus Juliana 10 points.

Game 2 in the Domlec Premier Division saw two of this year’s biggest teams the Gatorade Blazers take on former NBA player Garth Joseph No Look team. The game which was close right up to the last quarter when the more youth full team of Blazers pulled of the victory , veteran former national players Donnie Robinson and Derek Alexander could not stop the Blazers. Final score Gatorade Blazers 62 points to No Look 55 points, top scoring for blazers were Lester Langlais 16 points, Thomas Felix 11 points and Denver Dublin 10 points, while Garth Joseph had 19 points, Donnie Robinson 18 points and Bernard Mills 14 points.

Game 3 in another Domlec Premier Division game saw Paix Bouche Eagles easily defeat Johnson Drigo Oilers of Castle Bruce 81 points to 68 points. Top scoring for Eagles were Andel George 26 points , Earl Mathew 17 points and Tony Joseph 17 points while Steve George had a game high 36 points and M. Alfred 12 points.

Sunday games shifted to the Paix Bouche Hard courts with two games in the Kubuli/Vitamalt Division 1.

Game 1 – Wesley Raptors 74 points to Ian Douglas Patriots 68 points, top scoring for Wesley Raptors were Steve Hypolite 21 points and Ashworth Telemacque 11 points and for Patriots Marlon Hilaire 24 points and Bertist Jeffers 13 points.

Game 2 – Paix Bouche Snipers 82 points to Lagoon Hoyas of Portsmouth 62 points, Top scoring for Snipers were Lenin Paul 26 points and Herbert John 15 points while Kerbin Nanthan 17 points and Iroy Brooks 16 points.

Games will continue this week at the Lindo Park from Wednesday.
