The Roosevelt Douglas Primary School is the new champion of the National Bank of Dominica primary schools football competition organized by the Sports Division.
They beat St Luke’s Primary School by three goals to two on penalty kicks in the final when the match went to extra time after 1-1 scores during regulation time.
On their way to the final, they defeated St John Primary School by 1 goal to 0 in the semi –finals
In the other semi-final match, St Luke beat Goodwill Primary School by 1 goal to nil.
That is the very first time a school from the north has won the championship of the NBD sponsored event.
mostly all of them going to secondary school in a while
