Notwithstanding the challenges of the weather some games were completed in the Lime National Basketball League last week.
Wednesday – 3/8/2011
Game 1 – Paix Bouche Snipers came from behind to defeat a determined Pichelin Pistons in a nail biter , with seconds to go hit a three point shot to win the the game 75 points to 72 points handing Pistons their second loss of the season. Top scoring for Snipers Hendricks Holsborough 17 points, Dave Alexis 18 points and Tyson David 15 while Yanick Regis had a game high 37 points , Hijuan Xavier and Khalin Thomas 13 points.
Game 2 – Malta India Maraudarz won by default over E H Charles/Jolly’s Crossover
Thursday – 4/8/2011
Game 1 – Eezee Pharmacy Black Nights won by default over Northern Stars Chargers
Game 2 – Juggernauts continue to make a comeback to the top of the Kubuli Division 1 by easily taking care of Morne Prosper Ballers 75 points to 56 points. Top scoring for Juggernauts were Esmond Andrew 20 points , Dean Vidal and Ridge Vidal 12 points while Emile Cadeau had a game high 21 points for Morne Prosper Ballers.
Friday – 5/8/2011
Games schedule for lindo Park did not play due to the failure of E H Charles Crossover to show for their game against T.F Grand Fond Ball Tricks resulting in the points for Ball Tricks. Game two did not play due to heavy showers at the time of play the game between Dr Mac Prowlers and Paix Bouche Eagles will be reschedule.
Saturday – 5/8/2011 – games played at Lindo Park and Massacre.
Game 1- Lindo Park – La Plaine Avengers won by default over Ian Douglas Patriots
Game 2 – Lindo Park – Signman X-Men maintained their undefeated record (8-0)for the season by overcoming a strong challenge from United Insurance Sharks . United Insurance Sharks held the lead for most of the game when in the last quarter the X-Men took the lead and went on to win by three points on a strong and determined effort by the captain of X-Men Joseph Hypolite. The Final scores X-Men 66 points to Sharks 63 points, top scoring for X-Men were Joseph Hypolite 26 points and Peter Ricketts 18 points while Royce Ceasar 15 points and Neverson Jnobaptiste 13 points.
Game 1 – Massacre
The game between Paix Bouche Eagles and Gatorade Blazers ended prematurely due to a black out and had to be stopped in the fourth quarter.
Games will continue this week.
