“Special feeling” as Narine bowls Windies to win

“It was not an easy wicket to score on. The batsmen found it a bit difficult to get away the ball and I knew once I kept to the game plan I could create problems. I bowled to a plan and I was well backed up by the other bowlers and the guys in the field. This was a wonderful team effort and is something to build on.”

Narine added that was “special” to play in front packed stands and have the supporters cheer on the team. Some fans arrived at Arnos Vale from as early as 7 a.m. and stayed to the end to see their team continue their love affair with the picturesque venue. The result was West Indies’ 18th victory in 22 One-Day Internationals here.

“It was amazing. It felt special to have a big crowd cheering us on. This is just my second ‘home’ match for West Indies and I felt really motivated to go out there and perform. The fans came in from early and as we drove in we got words of encouragement. That’s the reason we play, for the fans, and it is always good to give them something special to celebrate,” Narine said.

I am mad Bravo ran out Johnson Charles. This young man will soon be one of the most devastating batsman ever.
Well done Windies…Good job captain Sammy and the boys.

Congrats to my team. Sunday’s fielding was impressive and they did apply themselves in the batting and if they continue this way, losing a game won’t be heartache for some persons. As for me my support is for all time no matter what!!!
    GO WINDIES GO…….

That was a wonderfull win, however I dare say that if it was not for the 40 over restrictions brought on by D/L we would have really struggled. I am not trying to be negative here, I am just being objective. I hope that we also do well in the other matches.

I had such a great weekend. Windies and Windwards won!! wohooo!!
    i rallying!

i saw the WICB say that the teams motto is “Teamwork makes the team work”… i only pray that if the issue is resolved today that the conflicted party doesn’t mess up the chemistry.

    WINDIES!

Well done Windies fellas!! You all need to use this as a catalyst to strive for more victories in the series.

Since some persons are of the view that the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) is the most evil thing on the planet and hence is the element always responsible for the West Indies loses, I would like to ask such persons who do they believe is responsible for West Indies victories such as the one yesterday? :)

    • yes i

The WICB Board still needs to be thrown in the rubbish bin. The crickets pulled up their socks this time. Congrats guys. Stupes @ Channel 1.

I believe that the batting still needs to be disciplined but overall they are playing as a unit

This was a good win for us the fans. It should be two up against the “formidable my foot Austrailians”. Cricket is head and head make books. Those westindian players must just continue to use their heads and any team can be beaten. The team that fields well, bowl well, bats well and uses their head better will always win. Can somebody tell me why Dwayne Bravo had to try that run he tried.
COME ON GUYS WE CAN WIN THE OTHER THREE ONE DAYERS

great knock boys , wish you all well the next three to come . remember you can celebrate but not get complacent with cricket strategist called the Aussies , they will come back stronger since they learn fromtheir mistakes .
