Successful 12-day table tennis program

Coaches and players

The Dominica Table Tennis Association in collaboration with Olympic Solidarity, International Table Tennis Federation, the Dominica Olympic Committee, the Sports Division and the Ministry of Education successfully conducted a 12-day Table Tennis Course at the St. Gerard’s Hall from December 5 – 16.

The course which was conducted by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) course Arif Khan the first six days December 5 – 10 was for the nineteen coaches and the December 12 – 16 was for eighteen players in the advanced and intermediate level.

Coach Khan was satisfied and impressed with the performance of the coaches the majority of whom, though not players, were able to apply themselves and qualify with the necessary requirements to get the Level 1 Certification.

11 of the 19 coaches, will need to do five hours of coaching under the supervision of Sports Officer Abraham Browne and 25 hours under the supervision of a selected school principal/or community leader, 5 hours of which must be with a wheel chair bound player and physically impaired person.
