Notice to all. All unauthorized use of my property at Pointe Baptiste adjacent to the beach will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We need to start respecting the fact that this property is privately owned and that permission for its use needs to be requested.

I wander if the organizers sought permission from the land owner to set up on his property and whether permission was received. Dominicans too independent and like to violate people. The owners should file and injunction at the court to prevent any setting up on his property.

    I AM INCENSED………………………..

You’re right . he made every effort to buy this adjacent property. And mark you, he does not allow locals to access the beach through his property.

And I know that they did not receive any permission although they made contact with the owners mentioning the event.

        December 29, 2010

From now on I will be seeking injunctions against anyone using my property without my permission. Red Rock has his own motives. He sees a gold mine for his restaurant. My biggest concern is that they will not clean the garbage left on the property. I have no issues with the use of the beach by the locals. It is one of the white sand and exclusive beaches on the island.

My only motive in supporting sporting events in Dominica is the fact that I want our young people to see and be involved in a VERY positive activity.

I think it was a great thing for the young people. How proud would everybody be if a Dominican wins this contest in the future?

They couldn`t have chosen a better place. The people of Guadaloupe and Martinique are quite familiar with the village of Calibishie, .Im pretty sure they looked at all the requirements needed for that event. I hope everything go as plan, just wish i was home to be a part of this occassion.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE AND TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS IN CALIBISHIE YOU`RE THE BEST. God bless you all and the people and the Government of Dominica.

I agree they couldn’t have chosen a better place. I was there on the 29th and thoroughly enjoyed the event. It was a beautiful day and I wa surrounded by beautiful people. I met the surfers of Dominica, a group of young and positive young men and also the surfers from Martinique and Guadelope. I ws amazed by the talent of the young surfers. Surfboards were donated by the organisers so that Dominican youths can get involved in this sport. I shall certainly be going again this year if Dominica host the event.

      December 24, 2010

I would like to commend the organizers for hosting such an event in Dominica. However , the location they chose to have such an event is not suitable and furthermore permission was not granted to the organizers….to my knowledge this is PRIVATE PROPERTY….

      • Cerberus
        December 25, 2010

unless our laws have changed beaches in Dominica can not be privately owned and are open to the general public. We should keep it that way. Merry Christmas!

          December 26, 2010

as far as i am concerned dear….that IS PRIVATE PROPERTY…. ASK ABOUT IT!!!!! soon very soon that property won’t be open to the general public….i am sure if that was your property u would be saying so…the land belongs to the LAVILLE’S…..
