The St. Mary’s Academy (SMA) and the Portsmouth Secondary School (PSS), the top teams in their respective zones, also won their semi-final matches to emerge the finalists who will feature in Tuesday’s game. SMA won over DGS and PSS won over CBSS in the semi final matches.

The final of this the 2nd Edition of the Secondary Schools 13 & Under Football Championship will feature a new Champion since DGS was last year’s winner.

This Championship, a 9 vs. 9 competition which is played on a smaller field, was introduced by the Sports Division in order to bridge the gap for the footballers who played at the primary schools and the long wait before featuring on their secondary schools’ U-15 and U-17 teams.

The new 13 & Under championship, therefore, gives the younger boys the opportunity to represent their schools in a field and age-appropriate competition.
