A smarting West Indies will seek redemption when their five match One-Day International (ODI) series against India bowls off here today.
The tourists were whipped 2-0 in the preceding three-Test series, and were lucky not to lose the last Test in Mumbai when they escaped with a draw following a dramatic last over.
Captain Darren Sammy said his struggling side would look to turn the page on the last few weeks and make an impression in the shorter version of the game.
Gayle have shown he can bat but for how long cricket is not just coming in and blasting sixes and fours but it has to do with the time you spend in the wicket yes gayle is a real striker of the ball, he is able to hit the ball in all corners of the feild, but he is a the wicket for to short of a period he is a good asset for the team when he is there people are afaarid to bowl at him but the we don’t need to bank on him once some of the players can stay in the wicket and milk the runs that would be good then we would need the gayle type player. But for now let it be what it is gayle is out lets support the boys for the caribbean rally rally with the west indies.
Sammy qui sa – bring back GAYLE
sammy you cost us the game with your poor leadership skills. i have always given you all the support but you should have applied a little more prussure on those guys i mean come on.
I agree with you 100%. It was very painful watching that game. I believe WI can beat India but Sammy has to step-up as a captain. He has to learn how and when to apply pressure. I wish them all the best in the next game.
get rid of sammy
You are 100% correct. i was one of Sammy’s supporters but he is not contibuting to the team and looks lost. The bowlers were badly used and they played like they were defending 300 runs.
