Mouth watering dishes dominate Titiwi Festival

Titiwi accra

Titiwi pizza, Titiwi soup, smoked Titiwi and lots more titiwi dishes were available to the hundreds of Dominicans who turned up in Layou for the 2012 staging of the community’s Titiwi Festival on Sunday.

The festival officially began with a church service at the Christian Union Church from 10 O’clock.

Patrons then made their way to the Layou Beach where they were treated to an array of Titiwi dishes which had them coming back for more.

The festival was not only for the hungry but those seeking musical entertainment as patrons were treated with performances from several bands including WCK.

Below are photos of some of the dishes which tickled the taste buds of the many who patronized the event.

This tells me that we are a very creative people and we need to have our own businesses instead of patronising these fast food places. We can create dishes from scratch. We have always been so ever since. We just need to get back to our roots. There are so many things available for us but we have to be willing to work hard to make things happen.
