The said consultations commence on June 16, 2011 at the Garraway Hotel Conference Room. The target audience is Craft and Souvenir Vendors, Tourism Taxi Service Providers, Tour Guides and Tour Operators.

The objective of the weeklong series is to review the 2010/2011 cruise ship season and to discuss plans for the upcoming 2011/2012 season. Following the consultations the Discover Dominica Authority along with the Ministry of Tourism will look to address the concerns of the service providers with a view of enhancing the tourism product.

Governments policy has chased the cruise ships away:
Colas plant belching toxic fumes while tourist vissit wackey rollers and river tubing. Who would return to this?
Drug trade that runs the economy is a direct cause of the paros begging every where they go.
French men get to invest as local companies to tear down our mountains and silt up our reefs. Which diver or snorkeller wants to dive in silty water?
Venezuela constantly issueing threats of war while claiming the Caribbean sea.
Venezuelan, iranian, russian, Dominican affiliation makes the cruise ships easy for terrorist attacks..yes they said it “its too costly in fuel to circum navigate venezuelas “territorial sea”
