Dominica recently unveiled a new website that brings the island’s natural beauty to computers and other devices worldwide.

Tourism officials say the new site will make virtual visits more exciting than ever while making it easier to plan trips to the Nature Island.

The site offers in-depth information on Dominica as well as photos and videos “which brings the island’s natural beauty to life”.
The site has the latest information on island activities, accommodations and current promotions.

Travel professionals are being informed that they  have their own area of the site to help better serve clients who are interested in visiting the island.
The travel trade area lets travel professionals keep up on the latest news, request specific information or sign up for the island’s new trade newsletter.

“Visitors to our new web site will find it even easier to plan a trip to visit us in person,” explained Colin Piper, director of tourism for Dominica.
“We offer easier navigation, regular updates and enhanced images of our beautiful island to make travel planning easier for individuals and travel professionals.”

Those interested in hiking and diving now have their own areas of the site to keep up on the latest information.
Piper says social media enthusiasts will be excited to see that Facebook and Twitter are playing a larger role on the new site.

He says visitors to the web site will notice the island’s new ‘I Am Dominica’ marketing campaign is displayed on the site and fans of the Nature Island are invited to adopt the wonderful way of life embraced by the residents of the island.

“Those who love Dominica” are also being invited to share their own memories or join in conversations about the many reasons to visit.

That was nicely done, now I can direct my foreign friends to my beautiful Nature Island website. I know they will get lots of info and hopefully visit our beautiful country, may God bless Dominica.

This is a wonderful site…… but I think it needs a bit of editing. The wording and discriptions tend to have some gramatical errors.

Great Job, its simple and sweet not to much, just enough to catch a visitors eye but not to much information to bombard them and turn them off form reading the page.. Thumbs up!!

I’d like to know who built it and how much they were paid. It looks home-made. Not good enough.

    Non- material:>>>

When the paragraphs are justified at each margin, they look neater.

Fantastic Job. However, few subtle changes:

“the boiling lake is app. 200ft wide” instead of across.

The first picture is ok but is should be more diverse if you know what I mean.

    Lovely though.

Who developed that website? A six year old? Looks like the same boring generic website of old.

I mean all these DA websites look alike. I’m thinking they are using these packaged website builders. That is why they appear so generic and boring; lacking creativity and originality.

Come on DA we are more exciting than that.

I totally agree. The design is not consistent and there is sooo much more info they could have included. What about all the international press I’ve been reading about Dominica on DNO? Why isn’t that on the site? Please tell me this is a work in progress.

I know you guys think I’m being negative but gushing over mediocrity isn’t going to help us. People can choose to travel to anywhere in the world these days. This site is ok but if we plan to compete with the whole world ‘ok’ is not good enough. There isn’t anything on there that would even make me choose Dominica over any other Caribbean island…

Lmfao dude..Relax..Its obvious you negative commenters are graphic designers who turn up your nose cause youve seen better or you think you can do better. Its the info on the site that would sell not the look of it. At least the site capable of working on iphones and ipads along side androids. thats a good look but yall gotta stop the sheet. Against the whole world? Come on dude.
