Fort Young Hotel wins prize at tourism show

The Fort Young Hotel has won a prize at the recently held Caribbean Travel Market Place 2012 in Bahamas.

This is an annual tourism and hospitality event which is hosted by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association.  The show encompasses two days of business meetings bringing together buyers and sellers of vacations in the Caribbean.

The hotel, represented by the Assistant General Manager Hazel Cadette, emerged winner of an interview session held by Evolution Strategy, an independent consulting firm with considerable experience in the tourism sector of the region.

The consulting firm working in conjunction with the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association, the Bahamas Hotel Association and several other hotel associations and interested parties in the Caribbean Region interviewed 243 participants asking a range of questions including information on the company and country the participants represented.

The participants were also asked to provide feedback on how the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association can further enhance the experience of the attendees at the Caribbean Travel Market Place.

As winner of this interview Mrs Cadette, on behalf of the Fort Young Hotel, won a complimentary small booth and registration for Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2013 to be held in Cancun, Mexico.

The Fort Young Hotel was one of two hotels from Dominica attending the show.

She represented the Hotel, so they both won!! I’ve seen her at work and she is very well rounded; CONGRATS not only to Fort Young and Mrs. Cadette, but also to Dominica.

Interesting comment, gizzzz. What the hotel did was hire this talented, well-rounded person to represent its interests. As long as you “wear the uniform”, you ARE the hotel. Congrats, Ms Cadette!
