Team Unity Dominica (TUD) will host a live press conference at La Flamboyant Hotel in Roseau, today (November 16, 2022) at 5PM.
This event will provide an update in regard to the next General Elections scheduled for December 6, 2022.
We invite the media and members of the public who are interested in the democracy of our country to be present with us at this event. In light of the recent announcement by the Hon. Prime Minister and his decision to call a snap General Election, we must act in the best interest of Dominicans.
This is a moment when we need to work together, so let us unite and engage in all reasonable, sober, and peaceful efforts to preserve our nation’s fragile democracy. We also understand and support the people’s constitutional right to protest and peaceably assemble.
We look forward to your questions, comments, and concerns, as TUD seeks to partner and unite in the effort to maintain the legislative traditions and democracy in our country.

As a close friend of Alex and his extended family I am shocked at his position knowing the man I thought I knew. I always viewed Alex as a die-hard patriot of the land but as the saying goes you never know someone until its crunch time. I have no doubt that when the dust finally settles he will go down in the annals of our history as one of the BIGGEST political sellouts of our day. I actually thought Alex was one of those who firmly believed that Massa days were done in Dca but I was wrong. Shame shame shame! He and Tar-HeeHe-Raah truely belongs together! A man who disregards the norms and protocols for good governance, and you talk about what? Don’t you realize that the brain and mouthpiece of Skerritt is an unscrupulous and shameless person. He was raised in a family of unscrupulous and crooked people, who it’s alleged cheated and defrauded the Treasury of Dominca for years and he filed legal papers to block attempts to recover the unpaid monies. You mess with dogs which have fleas, you are sure to get fleas. Alex is interested in self aggrandisement not saving Dominca but to help himself.
We’re certainly desperate for change Alex, but we haven’t reached the bottom of the barrel just yet.
What type of reform are they seeking?
Not just focussing on the voters list – the voters list is the focus. How many on list how many alive how many on island and only people on the island and who abroad five years. One can see how the pandemic stopped global travels for two years.
For us why can’t we amend our electoral laws where are the constitutional attorneys. Amend the laws to reflect the times we live in.
Stop trying to disenfranchise people.
I hope the recommendation by Sir Byron will be more modern of forward thinking. I hope we in the Caribbean lead we have the opportunity to lead the way in mail in and absentee ballot introduction.
This is our time to fight for democracy. Looking back the people will see it.

Skerrit is Dominica’s Trump and is unhealthy for Dominica’s democracy. But the answer is not Alex Bruno.
No, Max. That would be Linton. he was the guy who told you, without offering you evidence, that the 2019 elections were rigged and stolen, just as Trump did after losing. Linton was also the guy who refused to concede defeat, as Trump did. Linton was the guy who took frivolous and baseless election petitions to court in order to force a victory in his name, petitions that were impossible to win; just as Trump did. It is Linton who has continued to incite his followers to unrest in order to frustrate the electoral process and make the environment favorable to an impossible victory, just as Trump has. @Peeping Tom, you make no sense whatsoever. The CCJ wrote in it’s report that the shameful practices of the government’s conduct for the 2019 elections should never be repeated. What part of this don’t you understand? When you blood well know which party was in government office during 2019 and the many years before that
