UK Community Shows Support for Dominica

On Saturday, 23 September 2017 and Sunday, 24 September 2017 at the Dominica High Commission in London, several members of the Dominica Overseas Nationals Association (DONA) and other volunteers assisted with the packing of items donated by the Dominicans in the United Kingdom.  The High Commission was open on both days from 9.00am – 8.00pm, with the response from Dominicans and friends of Dominicans in the UK being overwhelming.

Her Excellency Ms Janet Charles, Acting High Commissioner for the Commonwealth of Dominica in London, expressed her thanks and appreciation to the UK community for their support in the calls for food, water, and other essential items to be shipped to Dominica and wanted Dominicans to know that we are standing in solidarity with them during this humanitarian crisis, and that our thoughts and prayers go to those who have lost property and loved ones.

The Dominica High Commission thanks all those who have been involved in the relief effort. Geest Line will be shipping items to Dominica from London on Tuesday, 26 September 2017

In the midst of all these suffering and loss of live people are behaving in such manner. Stop it. See if your neighbors need help in way or another, check on the elder who cannot walk to get food. This is ridiculous at this time.

I hope these people can be trusted on this event. Last event, that is Hurricane Erica after the big fund raising show at Hammersmith Town Hall where Sparrow and others performed issues came up[ about the accountability of funds raised. Understand that a certain Baroness was also part of that fund-0raining Team and people are yet to get answers on this matter. Its a matter of trust.
Money too tight now for these to be questions and concerns as to how our money is re4ceived, by whom and who executes, expense it. That must be accounted for and report to the loyal donors in a report. Where, to whom, how are these donations gonna be distributed and by whom.
We already have on going issues for years now of our States money that we ask the Pm and his corrupt government to account for. We know of the Bin and Fertilizer Bobols. We know of Montfared, the Nigeria lady and Russians etc, so we don’t trust these players, they appear too dangerous, as some Duminicans sit around blindly.

You are right on man. Since the hurricane destroyed our little country I’ve hardly heard a word from the Baroness, who was well sponsored by Dominica to get that prestigious post. She claims that she is a Dominican first but sorry, Lady, I do not see much evidence of that now that we are all sucking salt and worse. Where are you?

DNO since you only seems to want to publish what you deem positive even if they are not factual, let me give you what you and TDN want to hear. DNO you and TDN are doing a fantastic job! You guys are so great that I don’t need to listen to CNN or any radio / TV again. As far as Dominica is concerned all is well and Doctor Skerrit is doing a fabulous job! He has everything under control and believe me we will be out of this within months, thanks to the leadership of Dr. Skerrit and his ability to get help throughout the world. Food is being distributed equally and fairly to everyone in Dominica, regardless of their religion, race or political affiliation. He is feeding everyone just as Jesus fed the poor and commanded us to do so. I hope I got this one 100% DNO

You did! A good job too!
There is a US Catholic Radio Program entitled, “Where Jesus Weeps”, the Suffering Church. It pertains to some areas in Africa and elsewhere. Every week, late Sunday afternoon, a different country is named and the plight of the residents.
I think Jesus is weeping in/for Dominica, Barbuda, Puerto Rico and other areas that are badly-affected by these hurricanes. However, he is pleased that many countries and organizations came to their aid with more to come. Now, you know why God is so merciful and forgiving to those who call on Him.

You want Dominicans to suffer so u all can be able to have a rakatactac on radio.

Get up on ur lazy butt and seek to help someone life better. You run away from Dominica and can’t come back.

He is feeding everyone just as Jesus fed the poor and commanded us to do so. I hope I got this one 100% DNO……man behave yourself and stoop putting rubbish on DNO. The more all you write rubbish the more we agree that Skerrit must Go. You guys try hiding all the bobol allegations under the Skirt of Maria, but it will be exposed, it has been exposed. Skerrit is a servant of the Country and he has hurt Dominicans, we no longer need this madness government running our affairs. Try all you all wish, this man and his government is stained. Shame,…..Shame…… bad government in Dominica.
      Skerrit must Go…….

No, you got it -100% wrong. very wrong! The ability of Dr. Skerrit is one of concern. We need answers for previous accounts like the Bin Bobol and the Fertilizer bobol. Now hot on the news is the account of our CBI money, by so called investment. When you see him, that inept Skerrit please remind him to account to the House and the State of our monies.
Jesus continues to wept for his suffering people under a very Corrupt Red Labour party.

Man , that is where you are a real clown and in denial…..”Food is being distributed equally and fairly to everyone in Dominica, regardless of their religion, race or political affiliation”. No wonder Jesus wept, with your silly comment and your inept PM. You are blind and in denial and out of touch. Your Skerrit is a failure and has hurt us more than any previous PM and Hurricane. If you are looking for hurricane names for 2018, well, here are some: Skerrit, Blackmore, Vince, Hartley, T. Astaphan, and all those blind associates on radio and about in the city.
I again remind you of the Bin Bobol and the Fertilizer Bobol and the hiding of the CBI money. It took Hon. Linton to expose this fraud in government. Skerrit must Go…Just a reminder to your ears and those so blind like you.

Dr. Duvalier, Papa Doc, was more of a real doctor than Roosevelt Skerritt will ever be. Anyone can acquire an honorary doctorate from a place like the Punjab in return for a suitable “donation”.

We will work together for Dominica, all over the island, But make it be known, it will not be under the name of Skerrit, that failed PM> and his corrupt Labour government. No platitudes for questionable leaders. It appears these ministers sat there all along, know of the on-going bobol and Maria came to clean up Dominica, just Like Hurricane David it.
      Skerrit must Go
      Skerrit Must GO
      Go Go Skerrit.
We have work to do to clean up Government and Dominica,
