The Unity Labour Party (ULP) of Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has been elected for a fourth time, to govern St. Vincent and The Grenadines.

Preliminary results show The ULP retaining its single seat majority over the New Democratic Party (NDP) led by Arnhim Eustace. However, the ULP leader, Dr. Gonsalves, has called for a recount in two seats.

“Today, the people of St. Vincent & the Grenadines embraced the politics of love. They embraced our progressive agenda for the future by returning us to government. We are calling for a recount in North Leeward and South Leeward,” he said.

“I am humbled and honoured that the people of St. Vincent & the Grenadines embraced our bold vision for the future and rejected the politics of hate,” noted Prime Minister Ralph Gonslaves. “We are looking into various issues in North Leeward and South Leeward and we are also calling for an immediate recount to ensure that all the votes are counted in those constituencies. There are more rejected ballots than the margin and those ballots should be examined closely to determine the intent of the voters,” he noted.

“We ask Vincentians to celebrate this victory in peace and maturity. Now is the time to come together as one nation to address our developmental challenges and move forward to uplift our nation and it’s people,” Gonsalves stated.

syncronize WHAT do we really want? We ask for democratic e;ections `’ `the Will Off The People” then we convey dictatorship and slavery. HE WON hands down just as we all for and against predicted. Go to the trenches with humility and personal sacrifice. LET THE MASSES SEE you are one of them. Feel their pulse and be part of their suffering. PUT ASIDE YOUR INDIVIDUALISM and attitude of personal intellectual property. THEN YOU CAN quash slavery.

Congratulations to you Comrade. Four in a row just as the DLP in Dominica. Both parties are now working for five in a row. Those haters can continue hating but that will not work for them.

So the PM wants the Nation to come together, but he want a recount in 2 seats? lol. He should go sit down with his 1 seat majority …..

So, the will of the majority of voters in those constituencies is irrelevant?

Maybe the recount should remove the smile off his face because he will not move from where he won by one vote or seat but Gonsalves should not have been returned to power but the people in the Caribbean talk a lot but when is time for action they fall flat it’s a common idea.

YES I, what slavery!! The situation is the same with all these dictator heads keeping their people impoverished and granting them hand-outs to manipulate the elections. Anim Eustace should have worked a little harder too.
