The police are soliciting the assistance of the public with their investigation into a robbery which occurred at the Texaco Petrol Station operated by Valley Engineering on Goodwill Road.
In a release, the police say that members of the Criminal Investigations Department are conducting investigations into the robbery which occurred at about about 11:15 am on December 27, 2012 and are asking the public to call 1-800-Hint to provide any information with regards to this crime or any other crime.
A reliable source told Dominica News Online earlier that at the time of the robbery, the attendant on duty was outside serving a customer when she noticed that someone had entered the office.
According to our source, the attendant followed, in an effort to assist that person and instead encountered a man wearing a cap and pointing a gun at her face. She said the robber demanded money and made off with approximately $1400 which he took from the cash register and her bag.
We were told that police arrived on the scene within minutes.
Pure Slakness on the part of the owner this is the year 2012 and we have no security cameras, the attendant life is at stake open to be harmed day or night, an all you blaming the police? smfh.
some body say no law no people can stop him once a leader can say thst self well domnique finish
We are reaping the fruits of: Sheer Lawlessness!!

Eph 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
hmmmmmmm this one kinda smell like (inside job)
Big day robbery in Dominica, what is things coming to.
Not another gas station robbery. Its about time that the pump owners employ security guards for the safe keeping of their takings and also the workers. They must be thinking because it happens to one it wornt happen to them. When I read what’s happening back home it’s just a shame that it start to turn into a no-go-zone.
They don’t need security guards! Put the attendants behind bullet proof glass and let them operate the pumps remotely. Let the people pay through a window and pump their own darn gas!
“the police arrived on the scene within minutes” lolololol. i hope they get the person, it is time we teach the robbers a good lesson, so others will think twice before they attempt to rob.
wow, time has really changed. Sweet and peaceful Dominica is turning into the wild wild west. Time for some gun laws. Two yrs ago, you hardly even heard someone shoplifting, much less using a gun. Its crazy. It’s too much crime now
Time for people to fill up their own gas now. Put secure barriers for staff and people full their own gas. Seems everyone have guns these days
A business place running without cameras is no business.
Well when you mixed politics with polices then this is the end result. The top cop is more interested in cleaning up the department while forgetting about enforcement. He needs to focus on both. But just ask pirate about the days when seagal, kk, betrand, jeanpierre were out there, the criminals knews there were cops on them.
Time for the people to bear arms against the criminals.
I don’t understand why it took a Dominican so long to realize that… Too bad the rest of the country does not get it…
high day so then ?those voley there brave we.its like he was in a rush he couldnt wait for sun to set
internet children, they want it now.
wey papa, no law mentality
i had no idea that this station was operational. it needs upgrading and uplifting very much. hope they catch the thief
Trust if my friend was the one at work she, is alright.
R it’s pine
This kind of operation reminds me of the days b4 i was born how can you have just one attendant and no security in this day and age?
tell me why rolee doh have steel heavy duty door dat will clsoe with codes to open it when the attendant goes outside. she should only go outside with no money. where was her security. rolle yu too cheap is yr fault rolle. what de lady doing with all dat money available at any one time anywy,. all the owner fault. so de guy obviously was staking out and checking de scene how it running and made his move. he had to be one of dem loaiterers rolle allows infront his office all day
oh lord jesus…………. we need your help
Tell me, Why do you need my help? Truly I say to you, tell the business owners to put security measures in place. What happen to cameras and security officers? I can always help those who truly help themselves.
