Garry Auguiste, a young man from the Kalinago Territory who is pursuing a master’s degree at the University of the West Indies (UWI), put the following short video for World Parrot Day which was observed on Friday, May 31, 2024.
Although World Parrot has passed, the message will continue to be relevant for a very long time.
Nice piece, but what about the birds sent/sold/lent to ‘some’ foreigners after the hurricane. Even though their habitat has fully grown that we can’t even see the ground in an aerial picture, someone please connect the dots for us.
Excellent Video, Mr. Auguiste
I like this message. It’s concise and informative. Every country should endeavour to protect and preserve their indigenous flora and fauna.
Dominica, under the stewardship of the present ruling party headed by an amoral man is the only country to export its national birds. Dominica is unique for all the wrongs reasons.
