Warner primary school gets laptops

warnerIt was an exciting occasion for the staff and students of the Warner Primary school when they recently received 5 laptops and other school supplies  from the  The University of New England ,U.S.A. The donation came as a result of a long exchange relationship between Professor Dr Klak and Mrs Verna De Jean Frederick ,the principal of that institution .Two of the computers were full donations whereas the other three were bought in collaboration. The University students would raise funds and the Warner Primary was to match these funds to purchase the other three laptops. the funds were made available to the Warner Primary  school by the parliamentary representative in collaboration with Digicel Dominica. The presentation was held at the Warner Primary School in the presence of the Teachers and students of the Warner Primary , delegates (students) from the university of New England and Parliamentary Representative Honourable Rayburn Blackmore. The students of the Warner Primary were enthusiastic about the gift and expressed this in singing as they thanked the students and professor. Dr Klak also expressed his appreciation for being made welcome in Dominica and encourage teachers and students to make use of the computers ,they are in working order he said, all the necessary software  were installed at the university, he said. The students in my group worked extremely hard at raising the required funds needed to acquire the donations. Mr Blackmore expressed gratitude on behalf of himself ,the government of Dominica on this initiative and also encouraged the teachers and students to make maximum use of the laptops and also to take care of them.

Make sure that you cover the eye on the computer and put it in a room with no action and no one talking.

All you people should be ashamed of all you selves. Making a “big deal” on the Internet over five Laptops given to a school? I have four of them sitting in my house – not a school! What happened to all the Millions all you PM keeps getting from all over the crooked places? Giving a school five computers is a shame – more of a disgrace to have it make news. Our Children are our future! how many years now all you in Power? and only now thinking of our Children? Tell us how many Children are in this school! That’s what I call shameless.

Beggars can’t be choosers. We all have to start somewhere right? It wasn’t donated by some multimillion franchise it was donated due to a fund raiser. The fact that something was even donated is a blessing.
With the four laptops you have at home why don’t YOU donate to the school instead of complaining do something.g and maybe you’ll get results you’re satisfied with.

No doubt, the students are also elated about these laptops and other school supplies. Make the most of them. I visualize how eager they will be to use them. They will have to take turns to use them. Students, in your eagerness to use them, no fighting please.

Ensure the laptops are under lock and key when not in use.

Congratulations Mrs. Frederick, wherever you’re sent you will prove that you can mobilize your staff and work in the interest of the students. You did it in Boetica, Grand Fond, La Plaine and now Warner. A dedicated worker will always work especially under the most difficult conditions. I am sure you will be appreciated in the Warner community.
    One who knows…….
