Dominica state of emergency and curfew lifted

The state of emergency and curfew imposed by the Government on Sunday ahead of the expected arrival of Tropical Storm Beryl, has been lifted.

An announcement issued this morning stated that the measures which had been put in place for the safety and security of the state had been lifted and advised that normal business activity in Dominica should resume.

The government of Dominica, in the release, thanked all citizens for heeding the warnings issued by state institutions and cooperating with the police during the short curfew period.

If you continue to throw mud against a brick wall, eventually some will stick. The reason I’m saying so is because after Skerritt and Carbon got it wrong with the police response before and after hurricane Maria, this time they are overreacting with the response of a possible hit by the first hurricane this year. It seems that the decision to impose a state of emergency was a last minute thing and so the public waan’t given sufficient time and warning to do last minute preparations. Secondly police in military fatigues when the wind isn:t even blowing yet is overkill. So what has happened to civic police deployment in regular blue uniforms to interact with the populace and give a sense of calm and normalcy, instead the police in military apparel is unwarranted. Were the police going to fight the winds? These guys are out of touch with the populace and this hopefully should signal the end of this regime. Most leaders move to be with their people in times of desaster but he runs away

      Why are you so stupid?

Dominica is truly a fools paradise!

They provided a shelter to protect people in the event there was a repeat of Maria, and here this ignorant fool talking crap worst than a jack*** braying out of his/mind; I do not know why there are so many dumb stupid people alive in Dominica!

People like that thing, mind and brain might be overwhelm by marijuana, crack cocaine!

The fool have already forgotten Maria.
