As a consequence of the steady reduction in shower activity during the morning, the threat of further flooding across the island has diminished, the Dominica Met Office has said.
It said based on that, a Flood Watch, which has been effect on the island since Monday, has been discontinued as of 12:00 noon today, Tuesday 15th September, 2015.
Weather conditions will gradually improve as the day progresses, the Met Office stated.
Several communities were affected by heavy rainfall on Tuesday morning and there are reports of flooding and landslides.
Schools were also cancelled and public officers warned to stay home.
