No, it is not an April Fools Day joke, snowflakes actually fell in the neighbouring French island of Guadeloupe.
The event, which was described as ‘exceptional’ by a French meteorologist took place on Thursday, March 31 in the municipality of St. Claude.
Reports from French media indicate that a very fine snowfall blanketed the hills above the town.
French meteorologist, Alain Museleque, explained the extraordinary phenomenon on Guadeloupe Premiere TV.
“We had a mass of clouds that arrived over St. Claude,” he said in French and translated by McCathy Marie. “Accompanying this mass of clouds was some very cold air. In this very cold air, in the mass of clouds, we had the creation of some snowflakes which fell to the ground. This has never before been seen in Guadeloupe. This is an exceptional event that we will never forget.”
Two weeks ago in the same area, in a residential district which is just below La Soufriere Volcano overlooking the Town of Basse Terre, residents were surprised to see hailstones falling from the sky.
Very likely related to the seeding of the atmosphere to form clouds and produce snow. Probably part of the geoengineering experiments that are ongoing worldwide. Dominica experiment 2011., DOMEX2011 They can make anything happen weatherwise including weather weaponization.
Article says specifically it was NOT an April fools joke.
No doubt caused by geoengineering/climate engineering – ice nucleation.

I believe it was an April Fools Day prank. But again isn’t somewhere in the Trafalgar area the people can have some very cold nights that you would believe we have some winter months in that area?
Anyway DNO tell us of something you know for sure. Snow in Guadeloupe is iffy. What is happening with the infighting within the UWP where everyone wants to be the Leader and Deputy Leader is news? If those in charge and on stage cannot lead a small political party, can Dominicans trust them to run our Nature Isle? How many Prime Ministers would we have if they were to form the Government?
DNO so long we are hearing that a pot is boiling and spilling over on the stove, if an explosive situation as that was happening in the DLP? Wouldn’t you have already informed us? Is there a difference in your reporting of what is happening on the island.
it was an april fool
Well, we did get some hail in Penrice that time, so it’s not outside the scope of possibility.
Some years ago there were hailstones in Dominica. Ask people who live on the north of the Island. That was some 15 years ago I think it was somewhere by Paixbouche or Mon pak. So it is not new to the region.
When i was a little Dominica i saw hail falling. my mother said it was hail and i was not surprised because i thought it was normal for hail to fall in Dominica because it was always so cold and rainy. i used to want to move to a warm and dry place. We always wore sweaters.
I’m not surprised about the snow in the Caribean , with all the spraying in the skies that’s a given , but a chicken sandwich from KFC combo meal 19 friggen bucks ???? What did the Restraunt workers get their 15 dollar an hour raises already
That’s Amazing, its not global warming its global cooling, check out adapt 2030 on you tube, I am sure there is more snow to come, click here https://www.youtube.com/user/MyanmarLiving/featured
if there is snow in the islands, i bet your bottom dollar it will be John Snow of England.
global warming stupid!
Pure lies
Yes in 1998 environ there was the same phenomena. People work up to find their vehicles covered with ice. Mine was too. It’s the truth. Some cold air and this time on the Grandeterre section, all around Abymes etc.
So all you did not see the one about icebergs in the river in Guyana?
April fools day people
Obama is a member of Isis
Trump is really a democrat
Bernie is a republican in disguise
The pope is a Muslim
This article will show you the fools from the one with brains, just check the comments
I’m from Guadeloupe and the next day they said it was for April fools’ Day!
:D
that’s fake it’s too hot even if there was snow it will turn into water be for getting to the ground
Dominica might be next, please take out your winter clothes (joke)
A plane which probably came from a cold climate let out those snow flakes. Or they had some artificial snow and threw it into the air.
Guadeloupe is a warm climate and never has it been heard that snow flakes fell in a warm country.
It is stated with climate change, one day the countries which are warm will experience cold weather. Time will tell if we live long enough.
We must utilize our common sense about that and not denounce sensible comments. After all, everyone thinks differently and sees things differently. Obviously, our minds, manner of thinking, opinion and conclusion are not one and the same. This is what makes individuals different.
God did not endow us with the same mind and intelligence, although he did not create anyone of us as foolish people. He expects us to utilize the intelligence which He gave us properly. It is a gift, to make the most of and sensibly, for the good of all.
Let us simply appreciate the different and sensible comments.
You have got to be kidding. A plane let out snow flakes and they covered hills. That must have been one big plane.
Fact. weather follows solar patterns. Fact every 207 years we enter cold cycles. Fact every 360 to 400 years we enter very cold cycles. Fact every 11,500 years we enter extreme cold periods called ice ages. There are about 6 other cycles that also end in cold periods and guess what. Every one of these cycles is taking place right now.
Lets also consider that there are usually hundreds or even thousands of sun spots erupting on the sun. These emit solar flares when they are powerful enough and for general information, Russian scientists are reporting we are heading into an extreme cold period now. NASA is also reporting they believe we are heading into an extreme 30 year cold pattern.
Fact: Last month had just under 15 sunspots. There are normally thousands. Think it doesn’t matter? It does. 24 months and famines, wars and social violence will be common.
Stop talking, and start leaning…you run your mouth too much.

*Learning*
DNO, we need some independent confirmation of this story from some reputable source and some eye witness. There are many Dominicans on Gwada and we have not heard any one of them call in to confirm.
French National Tv said it was an all fool day joke reported on April 1st!
It snows in the Blue mountains in Jamaica… its new to Guada, not the region.
the day snow flakes fall in Dominica, I can picture those country bookie boy. LOL. And them fellas that like to rock winter coat there…they would get reason
Do not be surprised. Pond Casse could be cold. It is said it is the center of the island.
It’s not an April Fool’s joke. The French article was written on the 31st. If it did happen, it is a rare, but possible, scientific phenomenon. It is not, as some foolish commentators put it here, a ‘sign of the end’ or some other such religious madness. If people used their brains, they would understand that religious explanations are often an excuse to avoid examination and analysis rather than a real explanation.
Sure it was an April fool’s joke, check this…if you can read French http://bit.ly/1TvAFLl
Might be time to start thinking about mothballing the HAARP generators.
was this april fool’s?
No one will be able to go out for pics when de fireballs come down. Don’t forget, it’s cold then HOT.
It was a plane that flew over and deposited frozen hydrogen gas, which fell like snow.

well I have worked in the belles area, the coldness and the heavy blinding mist in the mornings,we always thought that one morning it would have snowed,i guess we could have been right.
They will never stop with this climate change crap! We all know who is behind this – check out chemtrails, HAARP, USA Air Force Weather Modification Division, EMP explosions to cause tsunamis….
These sons of beeches deserve the fate they will surely get by the hands of God, our creator, for their relentless services to Lucifer.

Look at you; one who claimed to be a doctor; any wonder when a Dominican tells you he/she has a doctorate in anything one should simply say: “okay, yea right!”
This person does not know how to spell the word “bitch” yet he calls himself doctor: Doctor of what? The fart from a real bitch. Be informed Mr. Doctor, the word “bitch” singular means a female dog, wolf, or otter. When used in reference to a human female it implies informal derogatory, or a spiteful or unpleasant woman.
We can add to the definition: a person who is completely subservient to another; i.e., ‘I will always be her bitch.”
“beeches” the vocabulary of a Dominica, what is that? No wonder PhD’s cost ten cents per dozen in Dominica!
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
This is a good April Fools Hoax. Here is the Guadeloupe News follow-up:
http://la1ere.francetvinfo.fr/guadeloupe/ils-ont-mordua-l-amecon-345959.html
LOL ! Did you all really believe that snow fell in the Caribbean?
I think that if this was true it would be news around the world and not just on DNO or Guadeloupe News.
Signs of times
What was the temp????not saying it’s impossible but let have the temp…
I think if we see snow in the westindes is the end hahaha
Snow is formed when temperatures are low, and there is moisture, in the form of tiny ice crystals in the atmosphere. When these tiny ice crystals collide they stick together in clouds to become snowflakes. When enough crystals stick together, they will become heavy enough to fall to the earth.
Precipitation falls as snow when the air temperature is below two degree centigrade. In some places the heaviest snow fall tend to occur when the air temperature is between zero, and two degrees C. When the temperature is warmer than 2 degrees C. the snowflakes will melt, and fall as sleet rather than snow, and if it is warmer it will fall as rain.
Now unless this is an all fools day joke the very mountainous islands such as Dominica do have the potential for some snow fall. Some may remember about twenty or more ago it hailed in a part of Dominica.
Note: its all about the precipitation process involving the formation of rain, snow and formation of hail! By they way it snows without…
Note: its all about the precipitation process involving the formation of rain, snow and formation of hail! By they way it snows without visible clouds in the sky too.
Mr. Telemaque you could at least credit the source of your information, which is the UK met office. You presented it word for word as if they were your original thoughts. At the very least you could have used quotation marks instead of openly practicing plagiarism.
DNO pleas quote me: because I need to tell that idiot that their mother is the source of my information, tell that person when I was in college taking Physical Geography, educating myself: I refuse to suggest what their mother was doing! I think I have the right to defend myself this way!
The coldest day you will ever find at the surface in the Caribbean – December/January, overcast, windy, raining, cold front going through – will be about 24 degrees C. The peaks in Guadeloupe are about 6,000 feet, so with an average lapse rate of 2 degrees per thousand the very coldest it could (normally) get at the top is about 12 degrees C.
Even if snow formed at the average zero degree C level at that time – up at 12,000 feet altitude – by the time it fell through 6,000 feet it would be melting, with another 6,000 feet to fall. So I have my doubts this was in fact true.
Since hailstones are fragments fo ice they could survive quite a bit longer – like ice cubes in a warm drink – so that story is likely true.
But not snow.
I cannot argue much about what you said but here is an example, Los Angeles, to Compton is less than ten miles, there are no elevation that I know of extending a hundred feet. Mind you the temperature in the day most of the time is over 80 degree, in the Summer it will go past a hundred degrees.
Occasionally some snow do fall in Compton; I’ve been living in Los Angeles for more than thirty years, and have never seen snow or hail fall!
So how do we account, for that? In February of 2015 I was on my way to Las Vegas, in the middle of nowhere, the sun was shining at about 3:00 P. M where not even a single mountain or high elevation are found; all of a sudden bales of snow fell from the sky; how do we account for that? I do not know if it is an all fools day joke, but I assure you there is every probability that it can snow on any of the more mountainous islands of the Caribbean, including Dominica.
I learnt that in Physical Geography (A Portrait Of A Planet). As for that…
On your point, I tend to agree with you. It happened some years ago in Penville, the northern part of the island
Oh, praise God, I thought I was crazy!
It was about twenty to twenty five years ago; when I was informed I simply did not wish to mention the person who disseminated that information to me and others just in case it was a lie.
When it is the truth BEB, it must come out, thanks for reading me, and confirming my story! I do not wish to go overboard on this but thank you: once again I prevailed. You know I can detail this which is not simply a phenomenon as some believe, but who am I?
I come from the mud in Wesley huh, so I doh can read, I doh never go in school eh never mind college. that is what some idiots think. I petty some of our people, the more uneducated they are the more crap they talk.
They went me to appear as ignorant as them so they want to know my source. Well Francisco source is not goggle, and the Internet, mine are all intellectual, since I am both college and university educated!
No it’s all about Weather modification ,
-Very Interesting story to say the Least- more examples of the dreaded Climate change phenomena I suppose…
No doubt some light snow-fall may have also occurred on the Slopes of Morne Diablotin which is Dominica’s tallest Mountain, however, its located in a National park zone where there are usually no inhabitants to observe or report accordingly. (Meteorology wise- this year is bearing similarities to 1998- though there have not been any reports thus far -in fact back then we did have hail reported in some of the North Easternmost communities of the island. Time will tell if such a scenario will materialise through the 6th-14th of this month.
Blessings to All!
Unusual for April 1st. April Fools Joke? Climate Change?
We will hear if it is indeed an April Fool’s Joke. It could very well be.
April Fool’s jokes could sound as real occurrences.
Facts, whether it is an all fools day joke or not, snow usually develops over the higher elevations, and places like Dominica, St. Lucia; do have the potential for snow fall. As I noted, more than twenty years ago, it hail in an area on the North of Dominica.
Now if you review the geographic location of Guadeloupe, you will find it is Somewhat slightly North West, or directly North of Dominica. So, if it hailed on the North of Dominica, why it could not have snowed in Guadeloupe!
Note: The geographic coordinates center of Dominica is 15 degrees 25 inches North, and 61 degrees 20 inches West.
The geographic coordinates rectangle:
West -61.48
North 15.63
East -61.24
South 15.20
How far a distance in miles is Dominica from Guadeloupe. Believe this one night I was driving threw the interior on the old Portsmouth to Roseau Road, when I got to that part they claimed to the centre of Dominica I ran into some fog so thick I could not see to dive one foot one guy had to…
Contin:
I could not see to dive one foot one guy had to get out and walked slowly in front of the truck until we got out of the fog. That occurred in Debranch (I do not know if I spelt that correctly). We see fog on the mountains top in Dominica everyday, that which people call vapor!
If you live in Wesley, walking towards Londonderry, by the time one gets to Hubert James rum-shop, that tall mountain seen what you see on the top of the mountain is not “vapor” it is indeed fog!
I won\’t take this seriously until tomorrow. ..or sunday.
Does this mean that the world is coming to an end..??
How can you imagine the world coming to an end? The world will always be and nothing can change that. It would sound more logical if one would say that at the rate that mankind is interfering with the forces of nature, there is a possibility that he could wipe off the inhabitants of the earth but there’s nothing that can wipe off the physical earth.
Jesus is coming soon my people
Sounds like chemically nucleated snow, part of the ongoing geoengineering programs which are pushing the human race to the brink of extinction…..http://www.geoengineeringwatch.org/chemically-nucleated-snow-what-is-it/
See if you can take a study course in Physical Geography perhaps somewhere along the way you will learn the true science of it all, rather than waste your time goggling!
I do not care who goggle, one can learn more in a college, or university class room!
You suffer from Cognitive Dissonance.
Admin please indulge me in this one.
Steven wherever you that piece of human garbage came from, be informed, I am more than capable than you and the one who gave birth to you, in a swine pen. I can draw circles around you which can drive you mad!
Don’t talk to me about cognitive dissonance, it appears you do not know the meaning of the word, but if you want to make a fool of yourself I will tell you that cognitive dissonance is the state of mind, as yours which psychologically causes you to exists in a state of inconsistent, thoughts; which includes your stupid beliefs , and altitude.
You do not know me you have never held a conversation with me in person, you have never communicated with me in writing on any subject matter; so how can you say I have psychological inconsistent thoughts!
Can’t you see you are a damn fool. Since you are playing psychologists, be warned I am capable of using some abnormal psychology on you, that can mess you up if I get the opportunity;…
Can’t you see you are a damn fool. Since you are playing psychologists, be warned I am capable of using some abnormal psychology on you, that can mess you up if I get the opportunity; and I can do it through this medium if only certain things were allowed to be written here. Don’t screw with me because you do not know who you are messing with okay!
yep…… sure is a lack of humans on the planet.. must be working.
