Warning on passing of tropical wave

weather updateAs the remnants of Tropical Storm Grace, now in the form of a tropical wave, makes its way across the Lesser Antilles late Thursday into Friday, citizens have been again advised to take the necessary precautionary measures to save lives.

The system is expected to bring an increase in shower and thunderstorm activity across the island just on the heels of another tropical wave which moved across the area on Wednesday.

Senior Metrological Officer at the Dominica Metrological Service, Marshall Alexander, said that Dominicans must bear in mind that the grounds are already saturated and the river beds are silted in the wake of Tropical Storm Erika.

“…And we are expecting about two to three inches of rain which is already too much for us,” he said. “Persons are advised to take the necessary precautionary actions to save lives. I think that should be taken seriously.”

According to the weather forecast, the remnants of Grace is located just east of the island chain and is expected to move across Dominica late Thursday into Friday morning.

Residents in Dominica in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks should exercise caution and listen or watch the weather reports on the radio, on the television stations, or persons can call the weather hotline at 447-5555, or visit the website at weather.gov.dm or the Facebook page at Dominica Met.

Pro. 14:34 “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” After David of 1979 and down to the reign of UWP, this passage was the most quoted verse in the bible. We all heard it everytime we went to church. But today we don’t hear it at all! Why? Because those religious hypocrites know the nation has never seen so much unrighteousness, injustice, corruption, so to make sure they don’t raise the awareness of the nation, since in most cases they are friends of those corrupt, evil, ungodly, unrighteous politicians, you don’t hear any mention of Pro. 14:34. Righteousness still exalts the nation and sin is still a reproach and our sins will find us out! Last week I was filled with tears as I listened to a former famous evangelist address the nation. Because the man knows how he remained quiet while our evil politicians were going wild, and he too was part of their corruption, he said our preaching divides the nation & brings confusion. Will God not judge us?

Well, well, well – so no one is taking charge and making the call to ensure that people are safe. Should we work until 9 and 11pm for those of us who do this all the time. Will the shelters be opened to persons who wish to relocate during the passage of the wave. or should we continue to listen to the radio etc as for Ophelia, Christmas Eve 2014 and Erika?????????

Pro. 14:34 “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” After hurricane David in 1979, this was the most quoted verse in every local church. It was even more so during the reign of UWP. Today, you would swear it no longer exist, because you don’t hear it from the pulpit. Why? Because the hypocrites do not want to raise awareness of the unrighteousness, injustice, and wrong doings of their political friends. In fact is was just last week a once famous local evangelist told us during a press conference, that the gospel he once preached so boldly is now a gospel of “confusion and national division. ” Why did he say that? Because his sin found him out as the nation knows how silence he got during the evil reign of his friends, whom he claims to be God’s gift to us. In 1979, no one prepared for David as it came just after we wickedly overthrew a good government. Did we learn? 36 years later the most evil administration is seen as good, and Erica came with…

Thank God “Grace” had some grace on us and speared us. I know we were ready this time and took Skerrit’s warning to heart. However, let us remember two passages: “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them…” You see, we were somewhat ready for the storm before Erica. But it did no harm. We were not ready for Erica and she destroyed us.
Let me remind us that we have turned away from God, and have found a new god whom we love and worship, and who told us the other day, to look to him. This new god has corrupted the hearts of the pastors, evangelist, bishop, priests and God fearing citizens. Everything is now upside down in Dominica and those who no better are partaking of the evils.. God is not pleased my people. It is sad that many innocent people perished last week, but we would be joking to think it was just “Erica.” God is warning us. “Except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain” Psalm 127:1
