This serve to inform that high winds are expected to impact the island beginning tomorrow Saturday 17th December 2016.
This will be followed by dangerous seas beginning to affect the island by late Saturday into Sunday.
This is expected to continue into the first half of the upcoming week.
These strong winds will be accompanied by sharp passing showers at times.
Winds are expected to reach 31mph or 50 kmph with higher gust and seas are expected to peak near 14 to 16 feet. All sea users, especially on the eastern coast (north to east to south) and persons living near the coast are advised to take all the necessary precautions to protect life and property.
Mariners and other users of the sea should remain in port due to dangerously high seas and battering waves.
A small craft warning and high surf advisory will be in effect from the afternoon of Saturday 17th for dangerous seas and high winds.
