A tropical wave will produce shower and thunderstorm activity mainly across the southern portion of the island chain during the next 12 to 24 hours. Elsewhere, generally fair conditions will prevail.
Moderate sea conditions are expected during the next 12 to 24 hours with waves peaking near 7.0 feet.
Meanwhile, at 5am, the center of tropical depression Grace was located near latitude 14.3 North, longitude 47.2 West or about 945 miles east of the Lesser Antilles.
The depression is moving toward the west near 17 mph. Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph with higher gusts. Grace is expected to become a remnant low or an open wave in the next day or two.
Residents should continue to monitor this system as unstable conditions associated with the weakening remnant low of Grace will be near Dominica early Friday.
