WEATHER UPDATE: Irma a category three hurricane

At 11:00 am, category three Hurricane Irma was located near latitude 18.5 degrees north and longitude 37.8 degrees west or about 1,580 miles east of the Lesser Antilles and moving west north west near 13mph with maximum sustained winds near 110 mph.

The center of the system is projected to move just northeast of the area by Tuesday into Wednesday of next week.

Interests in Dominica are advised to monitor the progress of this system and to make all the necessary preparations as Irma continues to move towards the Lesser Antilles.

Meanwhile, weak unstable conditions due to the presence of a tropical wave and a weak trough are expected to result in occasional cloudiness and scattered showers across the island chain during the next 24 hours.

Slight to moderate seas are expected during the next 24 to 48 hours with waves peaking near 5.0 feet.

I realize you getting a lot of thumbs down but don’t worry because when Noah was telling them about the flood that was coming, they mocked him, laughed at him, and kept right on enjoying life until they were all swept by the flood, except for Noah and his family. I also want to inform us that behind Irma there is another one forming according to CNN. So continue with life as usual and pay no attention to the bigger picture that hides behind all storms

An ominous monster storm indeed. I fervently hope that somehow it will divert from its present path and our islands would not be directly impacted. Let’s all bruise our knees in prayer.
