WEATHER UPDATE: Tropical wave continues to affect Dominica

weather map

Moisture and instability associated with the passage of a tropical wave will maintain cloudiness and showers across Dominica and parts of the Lesser Antilles during today.

Thereafter, a relative improvement in conditions is expected.

Persons in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are advised to remain vigilant and to exercise caution.

Moderate sea conditions are expected during the next 12 to 24 hours with waves peaking near 7.0 feet. A slight improvement is expected thereafter.

Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to continue to exercise caution.

If this government is really really serious about the welfare of the Dominican people, it will place the notice on ALLLLLLLLLLL RADIO STATIONS, not just their radio station. This is a democracy, they cannot pretend that the other stations don’t exist or at as though we should listen to only ONE station. This government   not ready.

So why on the other hand these same radio stations do not carry events hosted by the Government. Allu cannot have it both way. Media ban until they learn.

Any updates on the weather condition?. None on the radio stations. All that is repeated is what is a tropical storm, tropical wave, weather advisory from a “replay” button, but no real news.

Well based on the weather right now, it is a good decision. The roads to my village suffered some erosion over the weekend so driving down this morning wasn’t pleasant. Stay safe people!!

Yes, a lot of road erosions and yet blame is placed on the vehicles. Numerous holes from small to mammoth all over filled with water; the high way and the by ways. Dominicans and strangers coming home for the independence will be in for a rude awakening. Deeper deeper, wider wiider and no maintenance.
