Parliamentary Representative for the Wesley constituency, Ezekiel Bazil, is expressing condolences to the family of Jamal James of Wesley who died as a result of drowning in the sea at Woodford Hill on Thursday.

He was a teacher at the North Eastern Comprehensive School (NECS).

“I want to extend my sympathies from my family and myself and from the rest of the community, to the family of the young Jamal James,” Bazil said during a live interview on Q-95 Radio on Friday.

According to Bazil, James had reportedly gone to take a swim and encountered some difficulty.

“He could not make it back to shore and when he was fished out of the water yesterday afternoon, he [had] perished,” Bazil stated.

He described James as a very promising young man, “very respectful young man…a very kind young man and yesterday, unfortunately, his father, Jeff James mother Lilia Bazil, my cousin, were faced with the unfortunate news.”

“I was there [on the scene] with his mother and father, and had to witness his lifeless body being fished out of the water,” he lamented. “It was not easy.”

He said the community of Wesley and WoodfordHill are also saddened by the death of Jamal.

Bazil extended his appreciation and thanks to the young men who “braved the waters amidst the circumstances” and decided to keep searching until they located the body.

“It was bravery; it was courageous, and I really want to thank the young men for what they have done,” he said.

Bazil encouraged his constituents and the rest of Dominica to continue to pray for James’ family as they go through this sad time.

Hello and good morning my people. Very sad ,may he rest in peace and condolence to the family. The article didn’t say how long it took them to retrieve the body or if anyone performed CPR which is standard procedure in such incidents.

This is a song from Jim Reeves which I always remember when the going gets tough with me, this is what it says: For the family of Jamal James

Where do we go from here when the test of faith is drawing near?
Lord, touch our heart and guide our lips in prayer

Through the Grace of You, alone O God, we will cast away those fears we now know, and free ourselves from the depths of deep despair.

Lead us through the darkness and through this gloomy day, take our hands, O precious Lord, and guide us on our way.

Give us strength that we might find abiding faith and peace of mind; so we won’t ask, where do we go from here? In Jesus’ name Amen!

Mom and dad, your son has simply left his “physical body” the temple for his soul, to go live in the Spirit World until Jesus will call for the final judgment.

I am bold to say that because God, our Lord in the Son, Jesus, lovingly relieved my aching grief my son’s passing in 2017. And since April this year, he has been visiting me every day.

At first, I thought that I was losing my mind, but by the guidance of God’s Holy Spirit, and based on the information of the Holy Bible, it is clear to me that nothing is strange about my experience.

It seems as natural as mother and son in the physical, but I know that my responsibility is to intercede to God on his behalf.

His passing was caused by the afflictions through the neglect of diabetes, he was blind when he passed.

His body is healed now, but the process of perfection must continue, that is my job through my intercession to God on his behalf.

God will want that from you also, on your son’s behalf

It’s sad when parents have to bury their child, especially in circumstances like the way this young man lost his life. One never knows what a day will bring in this life. My condolences and sympathies to the family.

You know you are very right, it is very painful when a father, and  mother have to bury their child; been there, done that!

It is also sad when a grandparent sees the burial of their grandchild.

I remember two brothers born on the island of Guadeloupe grew up in Wesley, one name Lane, and the other is Raymond; one of the two brothers is his grandfather.

I remember them way back when I was a little boy, I know they are both back in Wesley alive in their seventies.

Sad, but remember there is a scripture in Proverbs which states, the young may the old must.

      And that is die.

My condolences goes out to his intimidate family!

A soul still gone and families are grieving, Rest In Perfect Peace

          November 28, 2019

BEB once a person is dead, it becomes all peaceful to them except if the devil took their soul; but if that person was a believer in Jesus Christ they rest in perfect peace until the resurrection.

Remember the Apostle Paul said: ” to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”

I am feeling more sad for him now that I know his roots; found out he was cousin to a niece of mine, one of his grandfather was the late Haig Walsh, my friend when we were kids.

Haig uncle Austine Walsh have a daughter with my later sister.

In Wesley boy, anytime you make the connection it usually come close to home!

I wasn’t on the scene so I dont know what exactly happened, but from the clip I saw, there was no body trying to pump out water from his lungs an give him mouth to mouth.
    I don’t know if it occurred but…

      November 22, 2019

I wasn’t on the scene myself, but after reading this statement by Mr. Bazil what do you think?
“Bazil extended his appreciation and thanks to the young men who “braved the waters amidst the circumstances” and decided to keep searching until they located the body.”
It would appear that the body was underwater for some time, the average time a person can survive without air is around 3 mins. Given the statement made it sounds much longer than that. Only a fish would have been able to survive so long.
      My condolences to the family.

Mouth to mouth? I think you’re watching too much t.v. The body was cold and dead when he was pulled out of the ocean. What mouth to mouth again you talking about? Stupes.
