The National Joint Action Movement (NJAM) has received the news of the resignation of the Honorable Lennox Linton as Political Leader of the Opposition United Workers Party. Mr. Linton who is the Parliamentary Representative for the Marigot Constituency served his Party as Political Leader for the past Nine (9) years and Leader of the Opposition of the Commonwealth of Dominica for the same period.
NJAM joins the countless Dominican at home and abroad as well as friends of the Commonwealth of Dominica to wish Honorable Linton well and to thank him for his service and sterling contribution in the fight to preserve Dominica’s democracy, responsible governance, the rule of law and a better life for the people of Dominica. We also recognized and pay tribute to Honorable Lennox Linton for his contribution in the formation of the National Joint Action Movement.
NJAM wishes to advise the successor of Honorable Linton as Political Leader of the United Workers Party to embrace that opportunity with a clear understanding of the struggles ahead to restore full democracy and decency to the governance of our beloved country Dominica. We remain committed to continue to work with the United Workers Party, other political parties, civic and religious organizations for the socio – economic advancement of all the people of Dominica.

What happened to the thousands of dollars PAID to UWP for the legal representation in the treating casefor Defoe,St.Valle and JnoBaptiste.Brian told Dominicans,Linton,Isaac Baptiste and Nicholas George were the ones to answer for the men not getting legal representation.What happen to that money?

Why do they wait so long to release a statement on DNO? Is Is Linton alone the one to make statements? Is he the leadership and the PRO and all of the party?
Talk about leader. UWP do they even have an executive? We can see how he was uncontested at the convention? The party UWP was Linton only all the positions where is the executive? Is NJAM the executive that no one was talking about?
Linton should also resign as parl rep he is exhibiting sign that there are more issues with the party.
I would want to think seeing that he is leader that he would submit his resignation to the party executive and they would make a statement. He behaved like the party is his unless DNO did not get the statement.
Bi-election someone. Such words concerning the reasons for his resignation I hope leaves a bitter taste. Divided the party and left good.

And this is why from day one, NJAM was dead of the blocks! Linton speaks democracy and transparency but is everything they are not. Does Kent Vital, a.k.a NJAM, remember Elections 2019 and the calculated campaign of fear and intimidation ostensibly to force a cancellation of the elections. What about the February 2017 fiasco in Roseau, the Aljazeera bomb that blew in Linton’s face, his conduct in the House, etc!? Has Linton ever reported to the Dominican public on funds raised during his party’s public fundraising campaigns on radio and elsewhere?! Oh, and in what way did he contribute to the search for “better life for the people of Dominica?” For most of his time in Parliament as leader of his party, he has walked out of the debate, been absent, or sat in his own world. When he stood, his obsession was on chasing phantom “billions” of CBI money!
