Local group Symplz has released a new music video which the group says will show that the core of the group is still intact and ready to release hit songs. The new music video for their catchy hit single ‘ASAP’ is a fusion of hip hop, pop, dancehall and RnB and features the various members of the veteran group.
In the video, current Dominica’s Next Top Model winner, Lynah Bontiff, plays the lead female. She has been stood up by her boyfriend who is out partying on his birthday after she made plans for them.
According to group leader, Kade Augustine, the song and video is a comeback of sorts.
“Symplz is a well-known group but we have been going through a transition. Asher Thomas one of our original lead singers is now pursuing a solo career. So this song and video, we put our all into it to show that the core is intact and we can still put out hits,” Augustine explained.
The video was shot primarily at The Champs Hotel located in Picard Portsmouth and, continuing a new trend with video production in the North, features several Ross University students as extras in the main party scene of the video.
‘ASAP’ music video was shot by local multimedia company Ambo Visuals and edited by Bat House Productions.
