Addressing the UWP Team Dominica Women Rising for Change Rally  in the Northern village of Calibishie last Sunday, Candidate for the Paix Bouche Constituency Eunica Anthony-Victor, highlighted the competencies and the capabilities of the members of Team Dominica.

“We are ready! We are ready and willing to work for you to restore our communities to the dignified position you once held,”  declared  Anthony-Victor, adding that “Team Dominica has competent and capable candidates to move communities and Dominica forward”.

The UWP) candidate for the Paix Bouche Constituency in upcoming national elections, Anthony-Victor further declared that Team Dominica will boost agriculture and fisheries and tourism to revive the nation’s struggling economy.

“We understand agriculture is our bloodline in these communities and we have already committed to injecting 90 million dollars in the first instance into Agriculture,” she said.

“This will benefit the constituencies by completing and rebuilding the feeder roads; completing the irrigation project in Fau Che; allocating more technical and extension officers and providing a ready market for our goods.”

She also promised that the UWP will “open up new areas for community expansion and the 84 acres bought by the United Workers Party between Thibaud and Terre Plat for agricultural and village expansion will be developed”.

In addition, she pledged that Team Dominica will complete the Resource Centre in Paix Bouche started more than 20 years ago and will develop the sporting facilities in our community”.

“More opportunities will be created in education and human resource development; the fisheries sector in Calibishie and Anse De Mai will be developed and we will restore Anse De Mai to the bustling port it once was,” she said.

Anthony-Victor also promised that her party will “develop the tourism industry so that places like Chaudier Pool and Calibishie Beach will enjoy the fruits of a budding tourism area”.

I don’t blame you for thinking that way, because you have done immense and collateral damage to what was once a peaceful and tranquil island.
