“De Web is closed”.<\/p>\n

This was the message from celebrant Fr. Conan Shillingford as he announced to the congregation and the world that Webster\u00a0“De Web” Marie had\u00a0made his final catch when he wed his long time sweetheart, Freda Blaize.<\/p>\n

De Web, well-known calypsonian, NCCU Cadence-lypso King and entertainer, last weekend put the final touch to a seven year relationship with his bride, who’s also a singer.<\/p>\n

Webster and Freda have for sometime been\u00a0combining their musical talents to provide back-up for Dominica’s Lady of Song Ophelia in Dominica and abroad.<\/p>\n

For many years, they were also members\u00a0of the popular Sixth Form Sisserou Singers.<\/p>\n

That’s where, according to the group’s musical director Pearle “Aunty Pearle” Christian, the match was made.<\/p>\n

“Aunty Pearle” was among several guests including family members, friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry who attended a beautiful wedding ceremony at the Portsmouth Roman Catholic chapel and reception afterwards, at the Cabrits.<\/p>\n
