Everybody seems to think we are great together and that our relationship will last because we always work out our problems together.<\/p>\n
The first year of our relationship was great.<\/p>\n
Recently we moved in together and ever since its been going down hill. We are always in an argument about some other girl and it frustrates me to the point where I become abusive to him.<\/p>\n
When I do sit and reason with him, he always have an excuse.<\/p>\n
The thing is he always makes up for hurting me afterward but I still can’t get over the fact that he uses this technique to try and get me to stop. Why not just talk to me.<\/p>\n
I have cheated on him twice and I came clean about it. I would like him to be clean if he cheats on me too.<\/p>\n
I try to believe him at times and say that I am just losing it because I cheated first.<\/p>\n
He is always home and I cook, clean, wash, basically do everything a woman is suppose to do. We both work so we only see each other at night and on weekends.<\/p>\n
He developed an idea that we do a outing every Sunday so we could spend time together but I am still worried that he is cheating.<\/p>\n
I want to end the relationship but at the same time I don’t want to because I believe that we can make it work.<\/p>\n
I need help to figure out is this relationship going somewhere or are we wasting our time. I know that we both love each other because we are\u00a0 engaged to get married next year for my 20th birthday.<\/p>\n
Confused<\/strong><\/p>\n …………………………………………………………………………………………….<\/p>\n Dear Confused,<\/p>\n You continue to confuse yourself by making new decisions while still indecisive about other decisions.\u00a0 First of all, I want you to know when the problems started…after you all moved in together.\u00a0 Some common law relationships work well, so this should not be used to apply to all such relationships but in your case I think it is safe to say that your partner has taken you for granted because he now has full and quick access to you.\u00a0 It is always good to keep a part of you for the person who is fully committed.<\/p>\n Secondly, you have so many questions about this relationship, but you are wearing his engagement ring with a wedding date already set.\u00a0 You need to do some reflection as to what you really want for yourself.\u00a0 Do you think that doubts will end when you all get married?\u00a0 You also need to ask yourself if you are ready for a committed relationship because you have not been committed to this one.\u00a0 You have slept out not once but twice.<\/p>\n Don’t mistake the icing on the cake for the flavor of the cake.\u00a0 Meaning, you all cannot just hurt each other and then make up.\u00a0 A relationship of any kind should be a wholesome one…one to build…the Bible says that a foolish woman tears down her own house.\u00a0 The both of you cannot be tearing down something that you are trying to build.\u00a0 Make a decision soon because to me it is better to get out now than get more committed and have even children involved in this game.
