I told him personally I am not interested in talking to Claudius Sanford because Claudius Sanford is not interested in the Kalinago People,\u201d Skerrit said. \u201cHe is not interested in you the Kalinago people, he is not interested in it. He is a selfish person and you know that and that is why we will reject him again on December 8th.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Skerrit, Sanford, who is a lecturer at the Dominica State College (DSC), has not provided any assistance to his fellow Kalinago brothers or sisters either financially or with their school work.<\/p>\n<p>But Sanford said he was never in a leadership struggle with Linton.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that both he and Linton were nominated to lead the UWP and Linton won.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a democratic process,&#8221; he said. &#8220;That\u2019s how we do it in the UWP, open and democratic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On the matter of him being \u201cselfish,&#8221; Sanford said that he has played his part in the Kalinago Territory.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy record is clear,\u201d he said. \u201cMy work is well known in the Kalinago Territory. I have given all my life to the education and the upliftment of the Kalinago people at the primary, secondary and at the college level.
