<\/a>Dominica\u2019s much talked about housing revolution is expected to be broadened as announced by the housing minister Reginald Austrie.<\/p>\n
Austrie,, in an interview with the media following his swearing in last week, said \u201cbased on the success of the housing sector in the last term, government is in a position to expand the housing revolution\u201d.<\/p>\n
According to Austrie, government spent over $43M in the last cabinet and renovated over 2,500 homes while building over 300.<\/p>\n
Austrie who is also the minister responsible for water resource management said there is also need to manage Dominica\u2019s water properly.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am very happy that the PM placed his confidence in me and allowed me to continue in that ministry. Water is a very useful resource in Dominica but for some time several governments have not bee able to utilize our water resources to the best interest of the Dominican people. So in this team we are going to see how we can change that. We ware talking about preservation, management and conservation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
