I have been a catholic all my life but whenever I am in church I cannot concentrate. It\u2019s like I have some kind of spirit of lust.<\/p>\n<p>Whenever the priest preaches I imagine things that I am too ashamed to even mention. I hardly hear anything in church all I can visualize is him.<\/p>\n<p>Bella, I seriously think some people should not be priests because they are too gorgeous. I know this might be funny and I will get a lot of criticisms for this but I don\u2019t know where else to take it. I want to know if I should admit to him that I have feelings for him.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe he can pray for me and it will help. I have also thought about not going to this church. Now having said that, it is quite normal to be attracted to someone irrespective of whether they are a priest, pastor or monk.<\/p>\n<p>As a matter of fact, developing an attraction to a priest is not uncommon; it\u2019s just taboo to admit it. A priest is a spiritual father and his life of sacrifice, faith, and servant leadership makes him a beautiful human being. If he also happens to be warm, charismatic, handsome, smart, and compassionate, well\u2026 that can be a recipe for a church full of women (and some men) with secret crushes.<\/p>\n<p>Who isn\u2019t drawn to a person like that?<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, if this is more of a full-blown attraction where you think about your priest a lot, harbor fantasies about him, desire his personal attention, go out of the way to see him, etc., then you need to treat it very seriously.<\/p>\n<p>Be sure to also take a look at your personal life. Something is probably missing. Are you lonely? What needs are not being met? How is your relationships? Work on it.<\/p>\n<p>By addressing the deeper issues in your life, you may find the attraction to your priest will dissipate so that you can go on being a faithful parishioner without this distraction.
