Philosophy:<\/strong> Existentialism – \u201cMan is condemned to be free because once thrown into the world, he is responsible for everything he does. It is up to you to give [life] a meaning. For it is man’s natural sickness to believe that he possesses the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n

About Me:<\/strong> Currently I am\u00a0\u00a0 Dominica\u2019s\u00a0 youngest\u00a0 worker\u00a0 within\u00a0 the\u00a0 field\u00a0 of\u00a0 Journalism.\u00a0 (Call me\u00a0 the\u00a0 islands\u00a0 youngest\u00a0 journalist). I am\u00a0 now\u00a0 host\u00a0 to\u00a0 one\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 island’s\u00a0 main\u00a0 talk\u00a0 programs. This\u00a0 journey for\u00a0 me\u00a0 commenced some 11 years\u00a0 ago as\u00a0 one\u00a0 of\u00a0\u00a0 the\u00a0 nation’s\u00a0 voice\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 youth. I then\u00a0 moved\u00a0 on\u00a0 to\u00a0 take\u00a0 on\u00a0 the\u00a0 roll some\u00a0 five\u00a0 years\u00a0 later\u00a0 as\u00a0 a\u00a0 radio\u00a0 presenter\u00a0 for\u00a0 popular\u00a0 national\u00a0 youth\u00a0\u00a0 radio\u00a0 program, Youth\u00a0 Vibes.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0 this\u00a0 journey\u00a0 I\u00a0 have\u00a0 made\u00a0 considerable\u00a0 strides\u00a0 as I regularly consult\u00a0 with other\u00a0 practitioners\u00a0 both\u00a0 in\u00a0 the\u00a0\u00a0 field\u00a0 and\u00a0 from a variety of\u00a0 other\u00a0 fields to help create for\u00a0 myself\u00a0 an\u00a0 opportunity\u00a0 to\u00a0 thrive. Prior to this\u00a0 current position as\u00a0 a\u00a0 radio announcer\/radio talk show\u00a0 host, I created and led a strategy team to\u00a0 influence\u00a0 the\u00a0 positive\u00a0 revitalization\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 Methodist\u00a0 Youth\u00a0 and\u00a0 Young\u00a0 Adults\u00a0 Commission\u00a0 to which\u00a0 I was\u00a0 nominated\u00a0 and\u00a0 elected President.<\/p>\n

Raised in Marigot, Dominica, and a\u00a0 native\u00a0 of\u00a0\u00a0 neighboring\u00a0 community\u00a0 Wesley, I now spend\u00a0 most\u00a0 of my time\u00a0 in\u00a0 my\u00a0 new\u00a0 area\u00a0\u00a0 of\u00a0\u00a0 residence\u00a0 Roseau. Work\u00a0 permitting\u00a0 I\u00a0 quickly return\u00a0 to\u00a0 the\u00a0 village\u00a0 that\u00a0 has\u00a0 built me. I received the\u00a0 honor\u00a0 of\u00a0 addressing\u00a0\u00a0 the\u00a0 islands\u00a0 youth\u00a0 in\u00a0 2009\u00a0 as\u00a0 the\u00a0 speaker\u00a0 at\u00a0 the\u00a0 National\u00a0 Youth\u00a0 Rally held\u00a0 to\u00a0 commemorate the\u00a0 island’s\u00a0 independence\u00a0 and\u00a0 also a\u00a0 honor\u00a0 as\u00a0 part\u00a0 of\u00a0 events\u00a0 to\u00a0 mark\u00a0 the\u00a0 celebration\u00a0 of\u00a0\u00a0 250 years\u00a0 of\u00a0 Methodism. Soon I will\u00a0 relinquish my\u00a0 roll as President\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 Methodist\u00a0 Youth\u00a0 Commission, making\u00a0 way\u00a0 for\u00a0 one\u00a0 of\u00a0 my\u00a0 other\u00a0 colleagues . In the\u00a0 coming\u00a0 year, I will\u00a0 serve\u00a0 as a honorary Commission\u00a0 member within\u00a0 the\u00a0 church, where\u00a0 I\u00a0 will\u00a0 also\u00a0 be\u00a0 advisor\u00a0 to\u00a0 the\u00a0 new\u00a0 president.<\/p>\n

Socially\u00a0 I\u00a0 would\u00a0\u00a0 call\u00a0 myself\u00a0 a\u00a0 social\u00a0 butterfly, but\u00a0 not\u00a0 the\u00a0 one\u00a0 that\u00a0 (befriends someone but then runs off as soon as someone cooler comes along.) Recently I launched\u00a0 this\u00a0 Events\u00a0\u00a0 Development Coordination\u00a0 and\u00a0\u00a0 Promotion\u00a0 Team\u00a0 Tribal\u00a0 services with\u00a0 the\u00a0 hope\u00a0 of\u00a0 changing\u00a0 the\u00a0 way\u00a0 and\u00a0 quality\u00a0 of\u00a0 entertainment being\u00a0 offered\u00a0 on\u00a0 the\u00a0 northeastern\u00a0 part\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 island.<\/p>\n

I\u00a0 believe that\u00a0 regardless of\u00a0 the\u00a0 negatives\u00a0 that\u00a0 surround\u00a0 I\u00a0 build\u00a0 myself\u00a0 based\u00a0 on\u00a0 the\u00a0 traditional\u00a0 values\u00a0 embedded in\u00a0 my\u00a0 family (the\u00a0 Bruno\u2019s ) history.\u00a0 I\u00a0 take\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 community\u00a0 seriously\u00a0 and\u00a0 have\u00a0 overtime\u00a0 grown\u00a0 weary of\u00a0 the\u00a0 fact\u00a0 that\u00a0 our\u00a0 male\u00a0 population\u00a0 is\u00a0 slowly\u00a0 depleting. As\u00a0 such\u00a0 I\u00a0 mentor\u00a0\u00a0 a number\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 young\u00a0 men\u00a0 in\u00a0 my\u00a0 community\u00a0 so\u00a0 too\u00a0 do\u00a0 the\u00a0\u00a0 daughters\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 community\u00a0 stand\u00a0 to\u00a0 benefit\u00a0 from this\u00a0 process.\u00a0 In\u00a0 the\u00a0 end\u00a0\u00a0 it\u2019s\u00a0 writing\u00a0 the\u00a0 history\u00a0 that was\u00a0 spoken\u00a0 of\u00a0 by\u00a0 the\u00a0 older\u00a0 heads\u00a0 of\u00a0 my\u00a0 family. Etana\u00a0 \u201cThe\u00a0 Strong\u00a0 One\u201d tells\u00a0 us\u00a0 \u201cwe\u00a0 owe\u00a0 nobody\u00a0 nothing\u00a0 but\u00a0 love\u201d\u00a0 – likewise\u00a0 I\u00a0 believe.<\/p>\n

Future Goals:<\/strong> Pursuing\u00a0 finally (all bugs worked\u00a0 out) at tertiary\u00a0 education with\u00a0 a\u00a0 minor\u00a0 in\u00a0 Mass Media\u00a0 Communications and\u00a0 most\u00a0 importantly\u00a0 a\u00a0 major\u00a0 in\u00a0 theology.<\/p>\n
