The Dominica men\u2019s volleyball team placed second in the 2010 Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Championships held in the British Virgin Islands, after losing to St. Lucia in three sets in last night\u2019s finals.<\/p>\n

The Dominican men had earlier earned a spot in the finals by topping their group with convincing wins in the preliminary round against St.Kitts and Nevis, BVI and Grenada, and defeating Antigua in their semi-final encounter.<\/p>\n

Key Dominica right front player Johnny Seraphine was sidelined with an ankle injury and was not able to play in the semi-final and final matches.<\/p>\n

Preliminary Round Dominica vs St. Kitts (3 sets to 2) 21-25, 25-20, 21-25, 25-13, 25-23<\/p>\n

The 2010 ECVA Champions St. Lucia advance to the 2011 Continental (NORCECA) Championships.<\/p>\n
